Indicative Housing Mix

Although we will not be submitting a specific housing mix with our outline planning application, our Framework Plan is based on an indicative mix that could be taken forward by the developer at the reserved matters stage.

The indicative housing mix underpinning our Framework Plan is as follows:

  • 16 one-bedroom apartments
  • 21 two-bedroom houses
  • 31 three-bedroom houses
  • 15 four-bedroom houses

33 of the homes would be classed as affordable housing (40% of the total), with 23 homes made available for social rent and 10 homes made available for intermediate housing (such as affordable rent or shared ownership).

Our outline application will not include designs for the new homes; however, the Framework Plan has been designed with the expectation that all the new homes would be two storeys tall, the same as neighbouring homes to the east on Spring Close and to the north on Sireburn Close.  Precise housing designs would be submitted by the developer at the reserved matters stage, but we expect the homes to be built using materials such as red brick and clay roof tile and incorporating design features such as tile hanging.
